Dashboard

The dashboard is your workspace home, at the root of every workspace. It answers two questions on one screen: what does governance look like right now, and what should I do next? Every number on it is a real count scoped to your workspace — nothing is estimated or filled in.

Two banners can appear above the dashboard content.

AI status. When AI-assisted policy authoring is configured for the deployment, a banner across the top of the workspace confirms it and names the model in use. It is dismissible and stays dismissed until the configured model changes. It reports configuration, not the model's live health, and because it sits in the workspace shell you'll see it on every page, not only the dashboard.

Sample workspace. Until the AcmeCloud demo is loaded, the dashboard offers to load it: one click fills the workspace with a governed demo estate — classified tables, canonical policies, and a current deployment publication — so every module has real content immediately. The offer links to the Getting Started page, where the load and remove actions live; it disappears once the demo is present. Loading is fully reversible. See sample workspace.

  • Deployed Policies — policies included in an applied deployment. This is stricter than approval: a policy counts only once a deployment has published it. See Deployments.
  • Catalog tables — tables discovered across your connected platforms. See Catalog.
  • Data Sources — connectors configured for the workspace. See connectors.
  • Deployments — deployment plans created in the workspace.

Recent policiesDirect link to Recent policies

The Recent Policies panel lists the three most recently created policies with their description, a sensitivity badge where the policy declares one, and a Deployed or Draft badge. Deployed here means the same thing as the KPI: the policy is part of an applied deployment, not merely approved. Each row opens the policy's detail page, and View all opens the full Policies list. In an empty workspace the panel invites you to create your first policy instead.

Three cards jump straight into the core loop:

  • Create Policy — open the policy editor to define a new rule.
  • Deploy Policies — go to Deployments to review and publish ready changes.
  • Browse Catalog — open the Catalog to explore tables and their governance state.

A New policy button also sits in the dashboard header. Authoring affordances like these appear for editors and above; viewers see the same dashboard read-only.

On your first visit, a welcome screen offers a short guided tour that walks the main surfaces — dashboard, catalog, data sources, policies, deployments, MCP tools, activity, and search — and you can replay it later from the same welcome screen. From there, the fastest path to a feel for the product is loading the sample workspace; the fastest path to your own data is connecting a data source and following the quick start.

Use the dashboard as a divergence check: the Deployed Policies count against the Deployments count tells you whether ready work is waiting to be published, and Recent Policies shows what teammates have authored lately. For the full record of who changed what — policies, catalog curation, deployments, tokens — go to Activity. Once answers are being served, MCP tools covers what agents can ask of the published state.
