Plans and limits
Metatate Cloud has three self-serve plans. Plans and prices are current as of July 2026.

Policies, deployments, and MCP calls are unlimited on every self-serve plan. Author as many policies as you need, publish as often as you like, and let agents call the MCP tools without watching a counter.
Hard limitsDirect link to Hard limits
The limits on data sources, workspaces, and seats are hard gates, enforced at the database boundary rather than only in the UI. When you are at a limit, creating the next data source, workspace, or member is blocked with an actionable message that points you to the upgrade path — the action fails cleanly; nothing is partially created.
Limits are counted across your billing account, so all workspaces that share an account draw from the same allowance.
Audit retention works differently: on Free, audit events older than 30 days are removed; on Team and Scale, audit history is retained indefinitely.
Upgrade and manage billingDirect link to Upgrade and manage billing
Upgrades are self-serve from the Billing page in the app:
- Upgrade — start a Stripe checkout for Team or Scale directly from Billing.
- Manage — open the Stripe customer portal from Billing to manage your subscription.
Plan changes take effect through your Stripe subscription; the app enforces whatever plan is currently effective for your account. If you are just getting started, the Free plan is enough to complete the quick start end to end.
